6 Weeks Pregnant Ultrasound

There isn’t a lot of things that you can take away from a 6 weeks pregnant ultrasound, however it is a great chance to ask your midwife any questions that you have about your pregnancy and find out how the early stages of your future baby’s development appear to be going.

Finding out that you are pregnant is great news. When you find out the first thing you do is tell your partner, “I Just found out I’m pregnant” which is followed by several hours of happiness and for some people, future planning.

Don’t Get Too Ahead of Yourself

It’s important that when you find out that you’re pregnant, you don’t go straight into future planning mode. At early stages of pregnancies, it’s important to remember, but not focus on the fact, that things can still go wrong. The reasoning for this is that while we all want to go straight into that planning mode that we adore, if we were to do so and later find out there was a problem with the fetus, we would go into a depressive state. Not only is this unhealthy, but it can lower your chances of getting pregnant!

So remember, while it’s completely alright to be overwhelmed with happiness when you find out that you’re pregnant, don’t go over your head and plan every stage of your 9 months out. Planning comes at a much later stage.

Future Ultrasounds

You will receive approximately 2-3 ultrasounds throughout your pregnancy.

6 Weeks Pregnant Ultrasound. While a lot of people choose to skip this ultrasound, it’s a great way to put your mind at ease if you have been struggling to get pregnant in the past. This ultrasound will tell you whether or not you’re pregnant and if the fetus has begun to develop or not.

10-13 Weeks Pregnant Ultrasound. Around 13 weeks of being pregnant, your baby will have begun to develop their bones and organs. When getting a scan at 13 weeks, you will be told how your baby is developing as well as any concerns that they may have about the development.

20 Weeks Pregnant Ultrasound. For most, this is the final ultrasound that they receive. This is the most exciting due to how you are given the option on whether you’d like to find out if the baby is going to be a boy or a girl!

While the 20 weeks’ pregnant ultrasound is the final ultrasound for most people, if there have been any issues throughout the pregnancy you may be asked (or you may ask) for a follow up scan to make sure the issues that arise have been sorted out.

If You’re Having Trouble Conceiving…

Don’t worry. Worrying about getting pregnant won’t benefit you in any way at all, so do your best to relax. Remember, it can take even the healthiest of people several months of trying to get pregnant before they see results, so it can take some time. If after a few months of trying and you’re beginning to worry, book an appointment with a doctor for both you and your partner so that they can run a few tests (e.g. fertility testing) to confirm that you’re healthy. It’s important to stay optimistic through your journey so that when you finally find out you’r pregnant, you can run home and tell all of your friends and family, “I just found out I’m pregnant!” and share the excitement with your loved ones. It’s a moment that you’ll remember forever.

Conclusion:

6 Weeks Pregnant Ultrasound is not that necessary until or unless you want to know about the heart heartbeat of your baby or you have any bad history of pregnancy.
